Hemispheric Energy Efficiency Session
The IV Hemispheric Energy Ministers Summit will take place in New Orleans, July 28 – 30, 1999. The conference will bring together energy ministers, private sector and nongovernmental organizations from North and Latin America and the Caribbean. The first day will be an interactive discussion involving senior government, industry, and financial representatives who will participate in plenary and roundtable discussions, one of which will be exclusively focused on energy efficiency. There will also be an exhibition for energy companies, agencies, and other concerns. Korean Boiler and Reflector
The Daewoo ESCO team is working on energy conservation projects in Korea and would like to import energy efficient reflector materials and big capacity burners. They may also be interested in other boilers, motor inverters, and lighting products.

Brazil Energy Efficiency
Off Light Automacao e Conservacao Ltda/T&T Company do Brasil, the only Brazilian manufacturer of infrared passive sensors for energy conservation/lighting is interested in expanding lines of equipment and services offered in Brazil. The company would like to invite US suppliers of energy efficient equipment to submit letters of interest to Off Light to represent, import or form a joint-venture.

Russia Boiler
The Biisk Boiler Factor specializes in manufacturing steam gas-and-oil-fired and solid-propellant boilers. The company seeks a US investor, or a joint-venture with a US company.

Argentina Energy Efficiency
The Centro IDEB La Plata, in representation of a local company, requests energy efficient weatherproofing, waterproofing and insulation technology, products and professional services, with the purpose of purchasing or representing them.

Licensing Corner: Manufacturers Wanted
The following two companies are seeking manufacturers, licensees, or partners for their products:

• GFX converts drains into heat exchangers using hot falling-films of drain water to heat cold water, thereby recycling the enormous amount of energy carried by hot drain water from residential showers and sinks.

• WorkSmart Energy Enterprises has invented technologies the following areas: capacity enhancement for turbines, high flow super-efficiency air conditioning, solar air conditioning, internal combustion engines, variable speed motors, hybrid mechanical/VFD, single phase inverters, dual service evaporator for refrigerators, multi-port compressor, evaporative condenser, damper, automatic window shade.
