States Mexico Energy Efficiency Seminars ECEE member Alliance to Save Energy will lead US energy efficiency companies on an energy efficiency mission seminar, focusing on the industrial and commercial sectors, to Veracruz and Monterrey in Mexico, April 19 - 23, 1999. The Alliance will lead another mission seminar to Cancun and Mexico City June 21 25, 1999, focusing on the hotel sector. To confirm your companys participation as educational speakers to identify energy-saving opportunities for industrial, commercial, hotel and hospital owners, as well as financial, general and maintenance managers, contact ECEE. California Energy Commission RFP The California Energy Commission has issued a RFP to select one or more contractors to: work with California energy companies to overcome financing issues to developing successful international energy projects; provide research assistance to the Export Programs ongoing international energy technology target market reports; develop a survey to analyze Californias energy technology companies efforts to enter international markets and an analysis of the effectiveness of the Export Programs activities to assist California companies. There is a maximum of up to $153,000 available for any contract(s) resulting from this RFP. Deadline for submission is April 19, 1999. NRDC Chosen to Lead Beijing Energy-Efficiency and Renewable Energy Demonstration Building Project The Department of Energy has identified the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) as the entity to lead and make the necessary decisions for phases two and three of the China Energy Efficiency Demonstration Building Project. Companies wishing to have their energy-efficient technologies showcased in the mid-size office building should contact NRDC. Malaysia ESCO Dorcar Resources is urgently looking into teaming up with a US ESCO to work on energy efficiency projects in Malaysia for the commercial, industrial and government sectors. They are currently negotiating a project encompassing government offices in 4 States with the Malaysia Ministry of Works. Russia Lighting Alpha, Ltd is interested in becoming a distributor of US-made light switch dimmers, back-up lights and lamps with dimmers. Hong Kong Energy Efficiency Systems Lighting and HVAC Maxims, one of the biggest catering groups in Hong Kong, is looking for US companies to design, construct and install energy-saving systems in their restaurants, manufacturing facilities, bakeries etc. Maxims is interested in energy-saving systems for lighting, HVAC, and production-related operations. Brazil Lighting and Sensors S. Simonetti Filho & Cia Ltda., a sales representative for construction materials, electric equipment and material and supplies for heavy industries, wishes to contact US manufacturers in the field of energy-efficient electrical equipment, with the purpose of representing them in Brazil. It is particularly interested in energy-efficiency lamps (commercial and residential fixtures, CFLs, etc) and occupancy sensors. Fape Rio Comercio e Representacao Ltd, a sales representative for manufacturers of electric materials in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais states for industrial and commercial clients, seeks to expand its activities through the representation of new products and is particularly interested in energy-efficient lamps and lamps for special purposes. Argentina Street Lighting TECNOMET, a manufacturer of photoelectric switches for lamps in street lighting, is interested in transfer or technology for the manufacture of photo electric switches for street lighting systems and wishes to represent US companies that manufacture similar or related equipment for street lighting. Argentina Controls, Meters, Sensors, and Energy Management Systems UNICAL S.A. wishes to contact US companies with the purpose of establishing mutual commercial representation agreements, and is interested in obtaining manufacturing licenses for innovative temperature control devices, sensors, and electric resistances. It is particularly interested in energy efficient technology, including controls, meters, sensors, and energy management systems. Argentina Energy Efficient HVAC COPAN, a manufacturer of gas fueled heating appliances and stoves for home and industrial uses, wishes to contact US companies that can provide technology for the manufacture of energy efficient gas-fueled heaters and stoves, related equipment and similar appliances (e.g. boilers, chillers, HVAC/Refrigeration, water heaters, insulation). In addition, the company wishes to establish reciprocal representation agreements to sell products in the US and Argentinean markets. Equipamientos Comercials, a manufacturer of commercial refrigerators, is interested in establishing agreements with US companies to manufacture refrigerating and cold storage equipment through joint venture, transfer technology, and product distribution, representation, or reciprocal marketing. Apel, a manufacturer of refrigerated equipment for commercial applications, wishes to contact US manufacturers or distributors of refrigerated equipment, particularly energy efficient refrigerating technology, to establish distribution or reciprocal representation agreements, as well as production and transfer of technology agreements. Asian Development Bank Seminars March 29 - 30 The Multilateral Development Bank operations office of the US and Foreign Commercial Service will conduct an Asian Development Bank Procurement Seminar March 29 30 in Chicago, IL. The seminar will offer detailed instructions on how to win contracts at the ADB and how to take advantage of the banks project lending that spans every industrial sector with major opportunities in the power, transportation, telecommunications, information technology, environment, health, education, water, and financial sectors. |
